As well as providing a first class radio service, backed by a local team with a wealth of experience in the entertainment media, Wharfedale Radio hopes to reach out to the young and old alike. From the children's nursery over the road to the Day Care Centre just round the corner, we aim to give every single individual in the Wharfe Valley the chance to become an integral part of the station.

We plan to offer Media training courses, and also aim to go into the local schools, from Prince Henry's in Otley to the Grammar School in Ilkley and all the infant and primary schools in between, to offer the chance for pupils to understand and learn, first hand, how various, diverse, aspects of a professional radio station are put together. 

Whatever YOU are doing in the community is what we plan to make the mainstay of Wharfedale Radio.
